This class is motivated to expose children to a variety of sports at a young age and introduce the rules and orientation of sports in a small group setting. Little Champs is a program that teaches a variety of sports every week including t-ball, tennis, soccer, golf, basketball, volleyball, bowling and flag-football. The classes are structured to have the children interactively learn the fundamentals and mechanics of their favorite sports in a comfortable and convenient setting.
HighPointe Academy encourages cultural immersion with the opportunity to involve students at our Castle Rock location in Spanish classes. We believe early childhood is the optimal time to introduce a second language and build your child’s academic edge. By incorporating Spanish language learning into the curriculum, your child receives a fun and hands-on-approach to developing a bilingual brain with a deep vocabulary and more advanced reading skills. Our Spanish class in Castle Rock is taught by our center director, who is a trained teacher and a native Spanish speaker from Venezuela. When enrolled in our Spanish class children are taken out of their class at a non-academic time once a week to enjoy learning a new language.
At HighPointe Academy Castle Rock, we provide a music enrichment program for all ages. Children love to sing and dance with our music teacher Lois Owsley, owner of Personal Notes Music. Research reveals strong connections between rhythm skills and pre-reading abilities in young children. Music engages areas of the brain which are involved with paying attention, making predications, and supporting memory. Music enhances fine motor development, sparks curiosity, promotes social-emotional development and much more.
